What do you mean the status? Isn't it coming out for the Revolution? The Rev doesn't come out till next year.

It's still for Gamecube (which doesn't preclude Revolution, or even special Revolution-only features, considering backwards-compatability and the fact that they'd done that before in the Zelda series on the Game Boy), and it's still looking like an Early 2006 release.

"first quarter 2006"
for gamecube
I'm pretty confident it will be for gamecube.

Apparently, it's 'the last Zelda in the current fashion', or something equally crytpic. The Revolution Zelda will be something completely different, allegedly.

Twilight Princess got pushed back from it's last quarter 05 release and last I heard it'll be out sometime in mid February.

Anyone who doesn't think this was held over to impliment some Revo functionality into the cart is foolish. Quite simply, it was their trump card at E3, and as sexxy to Nintendians as Halo 3 is to Xboxers.

Either a) it's going to be in the launch lineup for Revolution b) it's getting specific Revolution functionality, should someone play the GC game on Revo or c) it's being released in both flavors (GC version and a specific retooled version for Revo).

Considering the sheer ammount of hype surrounding it... it could be the difference between good sales for the new console, or incredible sales.

Nice to see Nintendo is paying attention to the importance of a solid launch game... considering their past mistakes. "Let's not use Mario as a launch character... it'll be LUIGI'S time to shine! Everyone loves Luigi... and Ghostbusters... how can it loose?!?"

IMHO, Link would sell more copies than Mario.

It's certainly coming out for the GameCube and last I read it would not be released until after March 31st 2006.

would be a great launch title and would sell many Revolution consoles. But it would piss alot of gamecube owners off who were promised that they'd get it on that console. Dilemma. I think for the good of Nintendo make it revolution launch title. Cube owners will get over it.

You hurt my brain. You base your assumptions on total guesses and call anyone who doesn't jump to the same insane conclusions, which have no precedence on any system I can think of of, to be "foolish"? Well either I'm a fool or time will prove you wrong... and since it's already quite confirmed to be a Gamecube game...

And you're already aplauding Nintendo for their decision to do what has pretty much already been proven not to happen?

I'm saving this thread.
