For a guy who's always excited about any movie or TV show based on a comic I really never read or buy comics. Honestly (without counting Manga) I've bought maybe a half dozen of them in my entire life and those were related to franchicses I enjoyed (ower Rangers and Gargoyles) and they weren't any good.

Well... I think there may finally be a comic to be excited about. The guy who was largely responsible for the first 2 (read good) seasons of the Gargoyles TV series is
doing a comic which follows where the paletteable part of the TV series left off.

Confusingly the few pages of comic on there are word for word (I think I haven't memorised every line) from the first episode of the 3rd series which I'm pretty sure I'd read that guy was responsible for. But yeah he says it takes off after the second season so I guess he's going to try to get through with that part he liked before going in a whole other direction. The whole gun thing looks new so they may not redo the whole episode... plus he says MacBeth will be in the first issue.

Though you have to love this quote:
Quote:
No one ever criticized George Lucas for what he did with “Star Wars” after the first three — maybe two — movies.
This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever read.

But yeah. I've been watching my DVDs recently and remember how much this show rocked my anus so I'm pretty damned excited about this thing. I dread the idea that I may actually be going to the Comic Book Shop on Wednesdays. Comic book geek were one of the only kinds of geeks I was still able to look down on. :( Oh well. I'll think of someone I can look down on... most of which fall under that large umbrella of role players.

... geeks shouldn't fight... you know I know this in my heart of hearts, but still I'm with you Adam... well not 100% I recently had to acknowledge the fact that I still am a comic book geek...

I own all the timmverse so far on dvd, I own all the marvel movies...eccept Electra.... hate that movie... but yeah I did pay to go watch it in the theator. I even have a vhs copy of Manthing i got off the tv.
I had to box up my beastwars figs to make shelf space for my marvel legends recently... the same Beastwars figs, that have servived the invasion of Beastmachines, rid, armada, energon, alts, cybertron and Universe figures...

Shit I've even started buying the figure factory little statues...
I've got Ghostrider, Thor and a few others...

I just started buying the new idw Beastwars comics...

I picked up a Wizard mag last month...

DC Captain marvel stands on my comp next to my buddy christ and glitch bob...

Guess I can always look down on Starwars geeks and Trekies ..and cosplayers

I usually like Comic Book movies and, for Marvel or DC stuff at least, will almost always see them in theatres. That doesn't mean I didn't hate the Hulk, Elektra, Catwoman, Punisher ...

Thor could be cool. I'm not sure they could make a good Silver Surfer movie...
