That's a quote that I heard from the announcer at the strip club last year. That's what I wanted to be reminded about while I'm watching women take their clothes off for money. >_< Though thinkng about it that was the last time I went to the strippers which is good considering just how often I went that year.

But all that perversion aside let's all be glad to be living in somewhat peacefull times. I'm not sure that wishing someone a "happy rememberance day" is totally appropriate all things considered.

I didn't want to get persecuted for copyright infringement.

I had one on my coat. It fell off. I found it. I taped it to my coat like someone suggested because they claimed that would keep it there. It fell off again. Yesterday I was going to get a new one and I was in the same mall where I bought the first one but the little guys who take donations and give them out were nowhere to be seen.

So I am now poppyless.

Because it's a Canadian Holiday. The reason it's on the same day is because that's the end of World War 1. Do you own a calendar?

Brief history lesson for those unfamiliar with the holiday:

Veteran's Day is the date of the signing of the armistice that ended the fighting of WWI in 1918...signed on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. They had to wait until the next year for the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, which formally ended the war. That's why the original name was "Armistice Day".

It was renamed Veteran's Day after WWII. I'm hoping the Canadians had more foresight and called it Remembrance Day to start with.
