It says it right there on the door.

There's no arguing with that.

Can me and Halden be unanimous?

And Halden has more than one meal a week...

... at the Works.

There must be record numbers of people in trailer parks getting internet access if 2 of the 12 Newport Customers have found their way here.

Given the proximity of the times I assumed they were at the same computer but no the IPs don't match. I call phone Internet shananigans.

So as a late joiner into this deep "I know you are but what am I" discussion I would like to know if you have a web site for the burger place that the Newport Restaurant person doesn't like....

Thx

We're all being unsublte talking about The Works which is an Ottawa burger place that serves it's drinks in measuring cups and is next door to the Newport. Mr. Newport hates it but me and Halden eat there all the time.

Not on dates...

... well not with each other at least. He's married and goes with his wife and kid and I took Janine there once.

Can you still call them dates when you're married and you bring your kid? Does it make a difference if you get laid or not at the end of the evening? Hm...

Wow that Works place went a little crazy on the animations! That is quite annoying.

I think that at some point it doesn't matter what type of meat if any you have on your burger when you got 6 different toppings on it. Sometimes the best burgers have nothing on them at all.

From a pure web site usefulness the Newport Restaurant one wins hands down. Place an order online how great it that?

As for the menu selection I would have to say that it doesn't stand out from any other dinnerish type place that seems to be stuck in the 60's.

Though it is hard to say which has the best burger based soley on web content I would have to say that Lick's is by far the best burger joint from my own experience and doubt that anything could match.

As for your guy <-> guy date / outing activities that is between 2 of you. Love is love and that is all that count.

Yeah it Fed my browser up pretty well.

The funny thing about it being like any other 60s style dinner is that it's not going for the retor thing. It's just crappy!

I can't remember if I've ever eaten at the Licks in Ottawa. They sing there and stuff, right? I think I have heard people say they have great burgers though.

I have yet to eat in a barn, you maybe thinking about aDam and that ouldn't be food.

I did go out for dinner last night and it may amaze you that some restaurants have no convenience stores attached, they bring you drinks already out of the can, the servers have teeth and it was still busy after the "Early Bird" special.

It's a shame because I know a really good place that is the exact opposite of that.

The Lick's burger is a fine burger!

They do sing your order (some places more than others) but to get the true experience you have to go to the one accross from the beaches here in TO. They really pull out all the stops.

There is also a total lack of barn / 60's motif
