Nothing short of awesome:

So the mother's boy toy gets sicks and she strayed to a donkey? Damn.... that's a serious diss. Though when George finally gets back in the saddle and she's used to getting shticked by a donkey it'll feel like someone who's been gerbling going to town with a guinea pig.

I'm not sure there'd be a distinction.

Though Tigers and Ligers are different depending on which is the mother and father I'm not sure if there's a set rule for cross breeds. That article says they are still debating calling it a Zonkey or a Deebra. I prefer the term "Zonkey" and I wish they'd make up their miind.

Actually I'm pretty sure there's a different term... I'll have to get out my old Horsie books.

I thought the naming had to do with the sex of the parents.

Male Lion + Female Tiger = Liger
Male Tiger + Female Lion = Tigon

When I said "Tigers and Ligers" I meant "Tigons and LIgers" Anyway through my research I found no mention of a difference between Zonkeys or "Zeedonks" depending on the sex of which parent.

Anyway I did a lot of Zonkey research at the office today. Just a Google image search shows plenty of examples: http://images.google.com/images?q=zonkey

They are always sterile for one. The donkey and mule have a different number of chromosomes. I'm amazed they can even make babies.

And in Africa such a coupling can actually happen in the wild which I thought was pretty amazing.

Right .They're technically called "Zeedonks" thought lots of people say "Zonkey" 'cause it sounds better.

Zedonk / Zonkey

The Zedonk / Zonkey is the result of breeding a female Donkey / Borro / Ass and male Zebra.

I have also found zebrass too...

It's settled then. You need to get or breed yourself a zeebrass.

Fine.

There is an exotic pet trade/sale this weekend here, so you buy me a zebra and a donkey, and I will do it :p

Hm... well bad timing then since neither of us will be anywhere near it... unless you want to take a 3 hours drive on Saturday? -_-

Would they really have a Zeebra at such a thing? I would imagine a mule, donkey or ass would be fairly easy to come in Canada when compared to a Zeebra. Think they can even survive Canadian winters?
