But your name IS Red Hat!

Do you have a red hat or are you all hard core about Linux now?

Hard to be Hard Core about a product that doesn't exist, unless of course you are an enterprise, otherwise your name should be fedora.

Yeah. F Red Hat! Could be using an older version though. Seems silly. I am using Fedora which is the closest thing to a free version of Red Hat I suppose. I do have a red hat for my start button type thing.

You know J-M's name "r3d h@t" or whatever in Yahoo has nothing to do with Linux but is because he has a red hat? Weird.

Ah... cute penguins. So is that SuSE? If so then why the name "Red Hat"?

I find the bar at the bottom way too big by default so mine's slimmed down quite a bit and I put it to auto hide 'cause I'm real picky about my screen real estate.

And I'm not adding the style tag to the allowed html tag list so you might as well change your sig.

Yes that is SUSE but I customized the theme alot and Red Hat was the first linux distro that interested me. BTW are you using Fedora Core 3 as a main os? Also you got AIM 1.5 installed on Linux or is that the windows version of aim installed with WINE? BTW I see you use Firefox too. I've been using it for almost 8 months. Also is that KDE or GNOME? I'm guessing it's GNOME.

Using Fedora Core 2. Didn't even know 3 was out. I couldn't get AIM to work. I tried it just a few days ago so that I could abuse of direct connect but it complained about some library so I just didn't bother. I've been using "gaim" to use my msn and aim for months and it's been working pretty good. Think it came installed with Fedora 2 so just try running "gaim" and see if it works for you.

I ran Gaim when I was running Knoppix and I liked it. I also run it in Windows and I also ran Kopete when I was running Slax. BTW do you use linux more than XP?

Yeah. I only use XP when I need to capture stuff. I used to use it on Friday nights because I used it to download my Sailor Moon episodes but that hasn't been an issue since the last episode played in September.

Cool, Linux is much better than Windows anyways. In a few years I'll be using it as a main os. BTW have you tried anything besides fedora?

Knoppix briefly. I don't feel like just installing a bunch of different versions at this point. I just wanted something more stable. Also I was tired of pirating windows and refuse to pay for software.
