sounds like a rough deal.

maybe you should pester your local politicians about it or something.

have you tried asking the stores to order stuff in before it's released and stuff? comic book store guys are usually totally up to date on release dates and stuff.

and beast wars 4 is definitely not for kids. (kidding)

Hahaha! Well once I went to Microplay to get the Kim Possibla GBA game. They guy went through his list and finally determined that the game had never been available to him and was not on any upcoming release list.

When I went to get my Sailor Moon season 1 box I asked the girl on the counter about it and she was going to look it up in her computer and got confused and then before I knew it I was out the door without my info.

As far as Comic Book Shoppe goes I don't doubt they'd be able to get weird stuff in for me but:
1) It would be hella expensive
2) I tried to order something once and they never called me about it

I just got back from the States today and all I can say is...where can I get the Disney Channel? Even Stevens, That's so Raven, Kim Possible...all cool shows. I haven't caught Lizzie Maguire yet and I can do without Sister Sister, but all in all, it's a great channel!

I totally agree with aDam, us Canadians get jipped when it comes to US shows on 'obscure' networks. I get double-jipped because I'm in Quebec. Who remebers back in the early 90s when Beverly Hills 90210 was all the rage? Well, I got to watch it at least one season behind because CTV was slow to pick it up. Those were the days when FOX was not in Canada yet and Global was not in Quebec (it's only been here for 5 years). Same thing happened with The Simpsons. Same thing with Sex and the City.

I am TV freak,I admit it. My current favorite is Gilmore Girls, and I'll even watch it in French so I can see the old episodes I've missed. I pay more for digital cable so I can watch MuchMusic instead of the crap they play on Musique Plus and so I can get Fox. However, I wish there was an easy way to get HBO, the WB, the Disney Channel, VH-1, Speed, etc. Why is the CRTC punishing us??

The CRTC punishes us because it's job is to promote Canadian shows. It forces Canadian channels to have a certain amount of Canadian content which is why there's so much bad stuff on some of our channels. Because of that they can't just give us the US equivalents because then no one would watch the Canadian equivalents of these channels. It's so lame. Why do we have to be told what to watch? There's a lot of talent in Canada. If they didn't do such sucky crap maybe I'll willingly watch some of it.

Anyway I don't get Disney Channel but I get Family. I don't know if that's available in Quebec but that's what I get Even Stevens, Kim Possible, Lizzie McGuire and the worst show on television that is That's So Raven.

We get some Nick shows on Family. That channels sort of sucks. I hate that Rugrats crap and I wouldn't mind if Amanda Bynes fell off the end of the Earth.

If you haven't checked it out yet, there's this new show on Teletoon called Silverwing. It's about bats. I kid you not! And at the moment it's exclusive to Canada. C'est très sauvage!

I'll chell it out. Usually Teletoon stuff that's not in the states is of the caliber of Totally Spies and shit like that. Let's hope this isn't.

Man, Totally Spies comes on Cartoon Network twice a day now. Hahaha...

Truth be told, the show was actually on ABC Family before Teletoon.

Anyway, I've been watching Silverwing, and so far it's pretty solid all around. I can't really say if you'll like it or not, though. You're a man of varied tastes.

Teletoon finally seems to be coming around. All they need now is to get their hands on some anime. Perhaps the Ninja Scroll TV series...

Well I think it was something like they played a few episodes on ABC family and it dropped it and then i tplayed on Teletoon for way long and now it's back in the states. There's this fucking guy at the Sailor Moon newsgroup, the worst online community on the Internet, who won't fucking shut the fuck up about that fucking show.

I have a comment about US channels, Fox in particular :

What TV time of the year is this? Yes, it's season premiere time! Well, Fox, as usual, has most of its premieres in late Oct-early Nov because of the Major League Baseball Playoffs. Now I know some people DO enjoy watching base-ball on TV, but come on...I just got addicted to The O.C., which started back in August and they're going to stop airing new episodes until Oct 30th!

Am I the only person to whom this does not make any sense?
