...Chopper ease up man... be like me surrender all your worldly possession and live in a hut, no need to worry about widescreen whatsits and Smallville whosits...

..I see your point though, how could a tv show be wide screen.. are they making widescreen tv shows now and then "formating them to fit this screen" ..that sounds like a waste of money. I'm sure the Wb dvd department is just lie'n to you... don't buy it, I saw it too. Craptastic cover graffics.. it'll be in the $4.99 rack at wal-mart by thursday.

Well it was cheap. 20$ which is like... 13 USD?

Anyway as much as I may be tempted to go all amish and shit like Yoda there are some things that draw me to shows like Smallville like... http://www.kristinkreuk.net/

Quote:
The award-winning series has finally landed on DVD in this highly anticipated deluxe six-disc set. The DVD set features all 22 episodes — digitally remastered for improved sound and picture — as well as many exclusive extras!

Special Features include:
All-New Digital Widescreen Transfers
Soundtrack remastered in Dolby Digital 5.1
Introduction and Audio Commentary by series creator J. Michael Straczynski
Behind Babylon 5 documentaries
The Universe of Babylon 5 data files
Episode previews, interactive menus and more!

What can I say about Babylon 5? It's like Farscape in it's cultishness... unlike Farscape however I've actually watched this show and it really really really really really really really licks my ballsac. Just one of these shows that geeks are obsessed with just because they're geek and normal people don't watch it because they have taste and the show sucks.

Anyway their DVD are going to be *drumroll* FAKE WIDESCREEN! How in the god forsaken hell can they expect anyone to think of this as a good thing? You can absolutely not argue that this was it's intended format. It was and always has been intended to be a TV show for a 4:3 aspect ratio. I am disgusted. Let the ultimate loser uber geeks choke on their fake widescreen crap.
