I would call this my beef of the month but I'm not that concerned about it really.
Whats the deal with people who feel they need to give a reason for editing their posts? This is a forum, nobody is on trial here! Besides, nobody cares. Why not keep your reasons secret and maintain a little dignity? I think some forums force you to give a reason now. This is going way too far, its probably some anti-terrorism/homeland security thing since 9/11. and fuck forums that dont let you edit posts. nazi administrators. I'm studying a bit of networking in my IT course and its all a fucking pointless powertrip, just like forums.
(this isnt targeted at your forum, aDam. just some other forums and forums in general)

I hate forums that won't let you edit my posts. I always edit posts and for the most part it's just tweaking some grammar or the way I say a sentence. And I generally won't mention what I changed especially if it's recently after I posted. Maybe only if someone's replied and the edit would make the thing the reply says change it's meaning if that makes sesnse.

You need to spend less time on Message Boards.

a better solution would be for all the newbs around the world to overthrow the forum administrators and take control. it might be a fun experiment but we'd probably end up with the same systems we have now, because we need rules.
so in conclusion, yes I should (and do) spend less time on forums. I only post on 2-3 forums nowadays.

Depending on how it's set up some admins can never have their boards usurped in any way. I, for example, always have full control over the server on which the board is installed and the database should something go wrong. So I could always get back even if I was somehow banned on my account or something. And failing that even if the server was hacked or something I cna control the DNS to point adamrulz.com to something new.
