And people wonder how I manage to find December depressing.

BECAUSE IT BLOODY IS!

I don't find it overly despressing but I probably did when I was closer to your age. I actually luv xmas entirely now and I'm an atheist for gawd's sake. Now February, that's depressing ... winter should end here January 31st if it were me creating the weather.

Glad she likes the kitty. Frosty is a great cat name. Festive and probably having to do with the cat's coat? I don't imagine the cat is named after what you keep doing with your hair.

Totally sucks about your ... I guess cousin? I don't imagine your aunt and uncle will ever be able to look at Christmas fondly again.

Frosty has to do with how he was found actually ... he was a bit frozen outside when he was found during that cold snap here. He was on the news the other night on CJOH too LOL ... he came from this cat rescue network. Picture old ladies with 50 cats in their houses who keep these things til they get adopted, that's the lady we got it from. She was interviewed just before xmas and Frosty was on her shoulder during the interview. He does have white paws but the rest of him is all tabby.

Ummm, I only think my aunt and uncle were about half surprised as it turned out. They're understandably sad but they were with us yesterday to keep their minds off it and had a decent time visiting I think. S'funny really, with the Catholics I guess this is all part of life. The clan gets together, mourns, gets out old pictures of the deceased realtives, starts drinking and remembering the family. I suppose it's all fairly carthatic for everyone involved really. I know I find it so.
