There's been some newer shows starting recently. Not that I need to add anymore tv to my watching list but so far I haven't really found much to watch. I tried to watch "The Winner" created by the guy responsible for The Family Guy. Rob Corrdry is the main guy in it. I watched the first 2 episodes and I couldn't stand anymore, it's pretty much unwatchable in my opinion. Same goes for the Sarah Silverman show that's just now in Canada on the Comedy Network. There are some moments and I think maybe the 2 gay guys would be better off in their own show as a spinoff. Adam, it's back to Frasier reruns on DVD for me. One of, if not they, greatest ensemble comedy show of all times.

I'm giving The Black Donnellys a chance after 2 eps too. It's unrealistic but it holds enough wanton violence for regular tv (NBC) to keep me interested. And it's on after Heroes making it easier to catch. Captain Janeway showed up as the Donnelly mom last week. Ironically, this web page put a disclaimer at the bottom to distance themselves from the tv show and their used to be a punk outfit called The Black Donnellys. A google shows they still exist but I think their heydey was awhile ago.

My brothers who watch a lot more TV than I do said both those shows were really really crappy. I planned on sampling the Black Donellies but I didn't remember and from what I hear that's not a bad thing. I don't like shows where the main characters are criminals unless it's Big Love.

Are these the only 2 considerable midseason shows? We usually get a lot more than that.

No, that's all I had watched ... I'm not sure what else has been on to be honest. I'm hoping to catch that Andy Barker PI from Conan O'Brien this Thursday ...

Ah yes Andy Richter is great. That could be good.

Andy Barker was kinda iffy ... I'll watch it again next week maybe. I watched October Road on Thursday, it has the red haired chick from That 70's Show in it. It's kinda angsty and the best way to describe it would be Dawson's Creek in the their later 20's

Andy Barker wasn't bad but it's just not very paleteable. I don't know if anyone will want to watch a show where Andy Richter is the most attractive man in the cast. It's trying too hard to be awkward. Still it was enjoyable.

The Jeff Goldblum show was GOAT. I don't like cop dramas because there are like a bizillion on TV but this one had a nice bit and Jeff is really cool.

Just the commercial for October Road makes me want to kill myself. I can't watch something that emo. And giving the kid adult lines to make him appear intelligent is not inteligent. I can draw a cat with a word buble that say "e = mc2" but that doesn't make me smart and it doesn't make the picture good.

I thought Andy Barker was great. I'm not sure the type of humour has a wide appeal though.

I liked the guy who owns the restaurant with the cameras and chit ... I just found it lacking much of anything. As Adam mentions, it was trying so very hard to be lame to be cool

It's like a less marketeable Arrested Development and I'm pretty sure that show wasn't very well received.

I'd give it an episode to get a feel for it. If the show keeps up witht hat quality it will be good.

There's no way Andy Barker or The Winner are going to last. No way in HELL.

I agree ... and Raines has already been moved to Friday or something which is the kiss of death

Hahaha. And how. Why the networks even bother with Friday programming is beyond me.

Of the 2 minutes I saw of the winner it will be cancelled because it has no place on television, unlike Andy Barker.

I think NBC is using Andy Barker as a vehicle to really promote their website and don't care what the ratings are.
